Simply Vera by Vera Wang at Kohl's

Have you been to Kohl's lately? If not, I highly recommend going so you can check out the new line of cosmetics by Vera Wang. When I went to Kohl's to check out this collection the associate working was only half way through filling the brand new display. I easily found a product that I was anxious to try. There were definitely others that looked fantastic to me as well. I picked up an eyeshadow duo in the number 403 for $19.50 (plus I had a 20% off coupon~which Kohl's always has). This duo is a combination of a matte cream color and a shimmery cream color. I chose this duo for the simplicity of a single duo to travel with. I have worn this eyeshadow combo several times a week already. I think it is flattering when worn alone or accented with another color in the crease and/or outer v. I will be returning to Kohl's for more products from the Simply Vera makeup collection. Have you tried anything from this line yet?

Fun Date Night Outfit

This is my perfect outfit for a Date Night for this week's Friday's Fancies.  I love the crisp combination of the red, white and blue together.  I can definitely dress this one up or down depending on the venue that I am going to.  I am actually having a real Date Night this weekend.  Wish I had this outfit for it!

Allure Magazine Summer Beauty Box 2012

     It's here!  The Allure Magazine Beauty Box for the summer of 2012.  I have not purchased any these boxes in the past, as they were always sold out when I realized that they were on sale.  There are a limited amount available.  The box contains over $250 worth of beauty products for the low cost of $39.99.  Please note that there is an additional $10 shipping fee and tax added as well.  However, from looking at this picture I can say that this box is well worth it's price. Dior Addict Extreme

     I purchased this lip product from Dior a few weeks ago at my local Nordstrom for $30.00. I have been wearing it quite often and thought I would share my thoughts on it.
     The color that I have is called Incognito. It is a beautiful mauvey nude color. It goes on like a nice shiny moisturizing lipstick. I love the way it looks on the lips. However, it has no staying power on my lips. I will enjoy this lipstick but will probably not purchase another one in the future.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish

     I was in Walgreens this morning looking for sunscreen when I happened upon this brand new display of Maybelline Color Show nail polish.  The display had most colors that anyone would want this time of year.  The price was definitely right at $4.99 per .23 ounce bottle.  They were BOGO 1/2 off too!  I simply could not refuse the great price and the sleek bottles.
     I went for two pretty pastels (show below).  I have never tried Maybelline nail polish.  I will let you know what I think of this formula after I try them.

Light Concept Nails

People always ask me about my finger nails so I thought I would share the information.  I have been having my nails done by the same manicurist since 2005.  We are actually about to celebrate our 7 year anniversary together.  LOL!
The product used on my nails is called Light Concepts.  I believe it is similar to gel based nails in that the product is placed on the nail and is then cured under an LED light.  I am told that the product is from Germany.  It is more expensive than acrylic or regular gel nails because it is not as readily available.  There's a wide range of options available in the colors and finishes.  I often go with just the basic pink and/or sparkles.  In this photo I am wearing the fine gold sparkle finish.  I really enjoy having these nails as they are so easy to maintain.
